Dead Duck

Description

I came across this duck, hanging by a length of fishing line, while I was on a short paddle, today. I didn't have a decent quality telephoto lens, so the image quality isn't as good as it could have been, but I don't want to go back out there to get a better photo. The sight of this poor bird, and the struggle it must have had, makes me very sad. I am still haunted by the sight.
I could not reach the duck, nor could I climb the tree, because it was very rotten and it's not worth dying to save something that's already dead. If I could have, I would have gotten it down from there. The next time I go out, I may attempt to get it down, if it's still there.

I made this "mature", so children wouldn't need to look at it. I think this image could be instructive, if presented by an adult with an explanation.
